Kayaku (seasoned) Rice

For two to three people:

2 cups of rice
Water 300g
Owariya’s Usu-dashi, concentrated soup stock 75cc
Burdock 40g
Carrot 40g
Fried tofu 40g

1) Cut the ingredients into 5 cm pieces, soak the burdock in water for 5 minutes, and drain.

2) Put the rinsed rice, water, soup stock, and ingredients in the rice cooker.
3) After soaking for 30 minutes, cook the rice and it’s done.

The seasoning is done lightly only by Usu-dashi, and its mild flavor that goes well with soup.
